The McAvoy Solution
Eddie Stobart is a fast moving and client focused logistics operation servicing an extensive portfolio of high profile clients. The company had a requirement for the fast track development of a new office building to enable it to bring the North West regional distribution centre into full operation as quickly as practicable.

The office building is the critically important administrative nerve centre at the heart of the 16 acre site, which is situated close to Junction 20 of the M6 and Junction 9 of the M56 and comprises of 145,000 sq ft of warehousing space, 220 trailer and 80 tractor unit parking bays, a new vehicle maintenance workshop, re-fuelling for up to six trucks simultaneously and vehicle wash facilities. It is the central control facility for Stobart’s general haulage fleet.

McAvoy Off-Site Prefabricated Modular Solutions offered a one-stop solution for the design, off-site manufacture and installation of a steel-framed building of 1000 sq metres that met the client’s requirements in terms of contemporary design, including a glass façade, as well quality and functionality. We were also able to deliver to a tight timescale set by the company to have the building in operation quickly.

McAvoy manufactured 30 steel-framed modular sections at its factory in Dungannon to a design agreed with the company, transported these to Warrington and assembled on-site, on time and within budget.
